A new chapter: Vienna House Easy at Frankfurt Airport unveils large transformation
The former Mercure Frankfurt Airport, owned by Pandox since 2019, has recently undergone a significant transformation. Now operating under the Vienna House Easy by Wyndham brand, the hotel aims to strengthen its market position and attract a broader range of guests at one of Europe’s busiest airports.
Comprehensive renovation
All 150 rooms and bathrooms have been fully renovated with updated interiors and modern furnishings. Bathrooms now feature walk-in showers, aligning with current standards and guest expectations. The hotel’s reception, restaurant, bar, conference facilities, and gym have also been refurbished, offering a fresh and functional environment.
The hotel has seven event spaces accommodating up to 230 attendees, catering to a variety of business and social needs. The on-site Cantinetta Popolare restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, while the vibrant bar offers drinks and light bites in the evenings.
Additionally, the wellness area has seen significant upgrades, with the introduction of a new pool and sauna, aiming at enhancing the guest experience.
A strategic investment for growth
The repositioning of the hotel is more than a facelift—it's a strategic move aimed at driving growth. With these extensive improvements, the hotel is poised to win market shares and increase revenue.
Building long-term value together
Martin Creydt, SVP Property Management International at Pandox, highlighted the collaborative effort with the tenant HR Group that made this transformation possible:
“This renovation is really a perfect example of how Pandox, together with the tenant, can create optimal value-add activities to enhance the hotel’s performance and position.”
Strengthening market position
Under the Vienna House Easy by Wyndham brand, the hotel is well-positioned to capture market share in the coming years. Its proximity to Frankfurt Airport, combined with the extensive upgrades, enables it to better meet the needs of both business and leisure travelers.
