Crowne Plaza Brussels – Le Palace, acquired in 2003, has established itself as one of Brussels´ leading business and meeting hotels over the passed few years. The hotel continues to strengthen its market position. Crowne Plaza Brussels – Le Palace has been awarded several international distinctions and its vision is to become the best meeting hotel in the city.
Also, between 2008 and 2011 comprehensive environment procedures were carried out at the hotel in order to optimise operations, enhance control and to find alternative energy solutions. The investments have been proven to be effective and profitable; for the year of 2011 compared to 2008, the energy consumption was reduced as follows; electricity: -46%, gas: -15% and water -17%. The largest part of the energy savings comes from operational optimisation in form of energy-saving lighting systems, environment-economising shower taps as well as the installation of an own district-heating plant driven by natural gas.
